Terms of Service

By registering an account or using worldphotofederation.com ("the Platform"), operated by FPO — World Federation of Photographic Organizations ("FPO", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to register as an individual member or as an organizing entity. Members and organizing clubs/organizations must provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.

All payments are securely processed through third-party payment providers (e.g., PayPal).

Payments are generally non-refundable, as each completed transaction triggers immediate administrative processing, material allocation, and platform resource usage. Cancelling an exhibition through the Admin Panel changes its status only and does not automatically trigger a refund. Any refund requests are reviewed manually, at FPO's sole discretion, by contacting office@worldphotofederation.com.

By initiating a transaction on the Platform, you expressly request that FPO begin processing your application, membership, or patronage immediately, acknowledging that service fulfillment commences immediately upon payment confirmation.

4. Content You Submit

You retain all ownership rights to the photographs, biographies, and other materials you upload. By submitting content, you confirm that you hold all necessary intellectual property rights or permissions.

You grant FPO a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, archive, and promote your submitted content on the Platform (including profile pages, exhibition listings, and promotional materials) for as long as your account remains active, or as required for the permanent historical competition archive.

5. Exhibitions & Patronage

Organizers are fully responsible for the accuracy of submitted exhibition details and for adhering to prescribed timetable commitments (including entry deadlines, judging, notifications, results reporting, and catalog/award delivery). FPO reserves the right to review, approve, reject, or cancel any patronage application at its discretion.

6. FPO Distinctions

Distinctions are awarded based on the points, titles, and criteria detailed on the Platform. The FPO Art Council may review portfolio collections where applicable. FPO reserves the right to revoke any awarded distinction or title in verified cases of fraud, plagiarism, or material breach of these Terms.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

FPO reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, submit fraudulent content, or fail to maintain mandatory membership obligations (including automatic organizer account suspension upon non-renewal of annual fees).

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform and its services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FPO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any published updates constitutes full acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Disputes & Resolution

Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. Where an amicable resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to standard resolution procedures in accordance with applicable legal principles.
