The primary subject of the photograph must be mountain terrains, mountain ranges, or landscapes dominated by peaks and their rugged, majestic beauty.

Focus: Judging emphasizes lighting, composition, atmosphere (mist, snow, dramatic clouds), and the photographer's ability to convey the grand scale of highland environments. This theme includes glaciers, alpine lakes, rock formations, as well as human presence (hikers, climbers) or wildlife within a mountain context.

Style and Adjustments: Standard landscape photography, panoramic shots, and monochrome images that highlight rock textures and contrast are all permitted. Standard post-processing is allowed.

Not Allowed: Images of flatlands, rolling low-altitude hills, or urban cityscapes where mountains are not the primary subject. Heavy digital manipulation that alters geographical reality (e.g., compositing non-existent peaks or replacing the sky with one from a completely different file) is prohibited.
