The primary subject of the photograph must be buildings, man-made structures, interiors, or architectural details that emphasize the design, form, and aesthetics of human construction.
Focus: Judging highlights composition, lines, symmetry, perspective, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow on structural forms. The theme covers all styles – from historical monuments and ancient structures to industrial architecture, modern glass facades, and bridges.
Style and Settings: Exteriors, interiors, abstract close-ups of structural elements, and cityscapes are all permitted. Entries can be submitted in color or monochrome.
Not Allowed: Images of pure natural landscapes lacking any architectural elements, or standard street portraits where the building serves merely as a blurred background. Heavy digital manipulation that alters the actual geometry or structural reality of the building (such as adding non-existent windows or removing pillars) is prohibited, unless the contest rules place the image under a "Creative" category.
